Squarespace and Me: It’s Complicated

I’m currently taking a break from setting up my website to write this blog post before something unspeakable happens to my laptop in a fit of frustration (some might call it rage). Hopefully by the time you’re reading this post these words will be comfortably settled into the gleaming website of my dreams. Right now, these words are the very first on an empty Google Doc, one lonely, productive tab amid a dizzying array of frantic Google searches and Squarespace help forums.

The unfortunate part is that I'm pretty sure Squarespace is stupidly easy to use and basically foolproof. Well, I’ve been fooled. I’m even going to tell you what the problem is so that if it’s still like this when you’re reading this post, someone can slide into my DMs via the Contact page (presuming I also set that up) and help a sister out. Please see my dilemma below.

I want the “I’m Elsa” title, the text, and the picture to be higher up. There, I said it. Also please note the banner notification warning me that the webpage is using significant energy (relatable), and the fact that my site domain is cowbell-turquoise. A lot to be improved upon and now I’m racing against the clock of my quickly dying, unresponsive laptop.

I hope this blog post one day serves as a reminder of my website’s humble beginnings. My Squarespace struggles, my shitty About page, and the pure genius domain that is cowbell-turquoise will be forever immortalized on my future (spectacular) website. Now back to work.
